Shino Kurinuki Cup
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Kurinuki, this faceted cup made of Dave’s Porcelain is glazed with Shino and fired in the middle of a gas kiln to 2250 Fahrenheit. The location of the cup, in the center of the kiln, protected from direct flames enabled it to capture and hold onto the carbon from the fuel. This gave it its beautiful carbon-trapped body making it a once-in-a-lifetime piece.
